The Philadelphia district attorney's office is upgrading the charges to murder for two suspects in custody in connection with a gun battle outside a North Philadelphia elementary school last week.
The 10-year-old boy who was caught in the crossfire (right) was pronounced brain dead Monday afternoon.
Faheem Thomas-Childs was being kept on life support in order to keep his organs alive.

19-year-old Kennell Spady and 20-year-old Kadeem Johnson were arrested in connection with the gun battle on Saturday. Ninety-four shell casing from six different guns were discovered at the scene.
The search for additional suspects continues.
