The Repo company didn't just get the VIN#, repossession order, and copy of an encumbered title from thin air.
You MUST have those things for a legal repossession. So either some bank just fucked up beyond comprehension, or these guys stole his car. Doubtful since they obviously took it to the station and had it processed as repossessed.
Very odd situation. The guy was totally right to be pissed. If the Repo folks weren't F'ing morons the guy woulda let it go too.

PS- If you post on that board tell them that hiding the Vin plate is pointless. It's stamped in several places on the frame that are visible without having a key or a jack.
