That so far in Fallujah US troops have captured over 50 Syrian special forces commandos?

Some Iranian army commandos too.

Somehow the news seems to have failed to mention this...

Those morons gave us the excuse we needed to go in there and clean 'em out old school by hanging dead Americans off of bridges.

I have it on very high authority that our troops in Fallujah are doing an admirable job of putting the fear of God and Raytheon into their heathen hearts.

And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier."

Israel demanded we take out Syria, so anyone in favor of America not doing it alone? Opposed?

Sorry , just read your next post. It strikes me though, at least now, that Kipling must have had very strong opinions about the Great Game and the like. I can feel a history research episode coming on.

Hey Snipe, do you have a link for a source for this or something? I don't doubt the statement, but whenever I bring it up in debates, there's inevitably the person who demands a source.

I always thought that they were in there...

I have the best kind of source- an NCO on the ground in Iraq.

The Syrians and Iranians have been infiltrating Iraq since before the war. There are several theories as to why the news media is suppressing this, the #1 thoery being that they want their socailist boy elected in November.
I have no reason to offer for why they do what they do, but there are all kinds of nonsensical things that they do to shape the news we see. Especially WRT Israel and the 'poor hapless Palestinians', for instance.

This really IS a case of US vs THEM. News like this just proves it, and apparently the editors of this country don't want it getting out.

I however do. I can offer no proof, i can only say that i view my source to be extremely reliable.

EVERY TIME you see in the media 'foriegners were captured' you can ask yourself "WHAT KIND OF FORIEGNERS?". Except that the media doesn't say what kind of foriegners...just 'foriegners'. If we're really lucky we get an originating country. Usually we don't even get that.

Thanx for the heads-up Sniper.

I have it on very high authority that our troops in Fallujah are doing an admirable job of putting the fear of God and Raytheon into their heathen hearts.

Cool.
What product, in specific from Raytheon, is causing this fear?

Neither foreign soldiers nor the liberal media surpressing this surprises me.

I have noticed claims on Fox news of "foreign militants" being captured BY AMERICANS. In the past, anytime you see "foreign" mentioned, they tend to omit which side captured them, and it looks like coalition members, buy Fox News helped calrify that.

Fox news' editorial can be deemed flag-waving, but their straight news is most of the time objective.

Anyway, the point here is that it's still business as usual for the terror states.

They have learned nothing, which means us blitzing Iraq has taught them nothing which means they are either very, very stupid or very, very brave.

PS- That's just a saying Trit, but pick one...they all work pretty good. :)

You need to get past the sports section. I have a few articles reporting on Syrian Mercs or SpecWar types in Fallujah. When we are engaged in some serious combat operations in Iraq. We can't guard the borders and bad guys are flowing across the border.

It's basically blowing up in Iraq. Contractors and troops are being kidnapped. Ambushes all over our LOCs. Virtually no one leaving their secure areas for any away work.

LTGEN Sanchez has declared securing our LOCs are a high priority. Big hint, it's going downhill in Iraq.

BTW, how well are we doing in Afghan?

Syrian and Iraqi commandos in Iraq should be headline news. The fact that it isn't suggests an ulterior motive.

Iraq is what it is. I wouldn't say it's going down hill, cause they're already at the bottom of the hill.

bigross,

It may well be...I got it from a documentary I was watching on the US Army's 1st Infantry Division...A company commander from the division said it.

"The more you sweat in peacetime, the less you bleed in war."

I was reading up ona whole bunch of Patton quotes about a year ago, and that one sorta rang a bell. It just sounds alot like something he would say. Something like "Losing a gallon of sweat in planning is better than losing a pint of blood in battle" It's late at night here. I'm acting wierd, leave me alone...

That motto is the official motto of the 50th Infantry regiment(TRADOC) at Benning. "More sweat in training, less blood in battle".

"When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier."

One thing to keep in mind is the seperatist nature of fanatical Islam...I am not up to speed on the specifics of the Syrian and Iranian contigent infiltrating Iraq but...I am certain that if that is indeed happening, its radical Shiite, Sunni factions not consistent with the posture of either Iran or Syria...atleast the posture of the governments in those country's...I could be wrong, it seems anymore that the whole world is against us on this fight...I mean we had American citizens fighting for the Taliban, its not a stretch to see Syrian, Iranians, and even some Saudis stiring shit up in Iraq...

They're not in uniform, so their host gov'ts can deny any knowledge...but we all know where Syria and Iran's loyalties lie, and it's not with us.

Again that depends on what type of Syrians, and Iranians we are talking about...Syria, because of our relationship with Israel by large has tremendous amounts of Anti-American sentiment...Iran is not so cut and dry...We also have Pakistani's, Turks and Saudi's that feel the same way that most Syrians feel...Turkey is a memeber of NATO, Saudi and Pakistan are considered key strategic US Allies...Ever feel like its US against the world?

We're talking about Syrian military commandos.

What do you think that Syria would have to gain? The Russians flew North Korean Mig-15's in the Korean War, mainly to test their tactics and equipment against ours...

Syria has nothing to gain by doing this, unless they have a different agenda...Its an intersting development to say the least...Iraq may soon become one hudge power vacum.
