YOU HAVE TO BE LABELED BY THE VA AS DISABLED OR SERVICE CONNECTED THEN BASED ON YOUR RATING YOU GET A CLASS PRIORITY. BASED ON THAT CLASS YOUR IN MEANS HOW YOU WAIT TO SEE A DOCTOR. THAS WHY I USE MY OWN INSURANCE I PAY FOR BECAUSE EVEN WITH MY RATING IT WOULD TAKE 60-90 DAYS TO GET TO SEE A SPECIALIST. PRESS TO TEST |

FENDER, I'M MORE WORRIED ABOUT THE VETS WHO HAVE TO USE THE VA SYSTEM. MY RATING GIVES ME VERY HIGH PRIORITY,BUT I CHOOSE NOT TO USE THE VA AS LONG AS I CAN AFFORD MY COMPANIES INSURANCE. THATS THE BIG KEY HERE,MOST OF THE VETS IN THE SYSTEM HAVE TO USE THE VA,THEY DONT HAVE A CHOICE. SURE I CAN DRIVE THE 50 MILES TO USE THE VA HOSPITAL,SAVE 560.00 A MONTH FOR MEDICAL AND USE MY RATING CLASS TO GET A APPOINTMENT SOONER. BUT WALKING INTO THE VA AND SEEING VETS THAT ARE LOW ON THE LIST,WAITING FOR A CANCELING OF A APPOINTMENT I COULDNT LOOK MYSELF IN THE MIRROR TAKING A SPOT FROM THEM. I WAS IN FOR A VA C&P AND TOLD THE WW2 VET I WAS SITTING WITH I FELT GULITY SITTING HERE TAKING UP A APPOINTMENT HE TOLD ME "YOU EARNED IT NEVER FEEL GULITY" THATS STUCK IN MY MIND. I'LL FIGHT TO THE END TO KEEP FUNDING AND THE FUNDING THE CARE THAT ALL VETS HAVE EARNED. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS,ANY VET HERE CAN END UP HAVING TO USE THE VA. SO WE NEED TO KEEP IT FULLY FUNDED AND READY TO SERVE THE VETS. PRESS TO TEST |

I KNOW YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE HERE WOULD DO THE SAME IF GIVEN THE CHANCE . I WE DONT STICK TOGETHER I'M AFRAID ITS GOING TO BE TOO LATE. PLUS OUR MEN AND WOMEN FIGHTING NOW NEED OUR SUPPORT TOO,THEY DONT NEED THE HASSLES WHEN THEY COME HOME WOUNDED,CRIPPLED OR MENTALLY DRAINED. THEY DONT NEED TO WORRY IF THEIR JOB IS GOING TO BE THERE WHEN THEY RETURN .I KNOW THEIRS SUPPOSED TO BE LAWS BUT SINCE THE 1 ST GULFWAR AND THE 1994 SERVICEMANS ACT TO PROTECT THOSE JOBS THEIR HAS BEEN A 2 FOLD INCREASE IN COMPLAINTS SINCE 9-11 OF VETS LOOSING THEIR JOBS AND PROMOTIONS DUE TO SERVICE HERE IN ILLINOIS RIGHT NOW A RESERVIST IS FIGHTING HIS FIRING . THE TOWN IS PLAYING LEGAL BULLS--- TO DEFEND THEIR ACT. WE'LL HAVE TO WATCH THIS ONE. PRESS TO TEST |
