An email I wanted to pass off to all of you that come across any Items that are a peice of a our Nail-Fac-Covey heritage.

OV-10
Bronco Association Ready Room and museum. Mostly it has been patches,
pictures and stuff, but once in awhile something truly important pops
up,
like the day the NAIL tablecloth surfaced. We procured that and saved
it.
In fact, it was on display in San Antonio.

As you may be aware, due in part to the generosity of the FAC
Association, NAIL FAC Association and over 50 other people and the
International Bird Dog Association, initial planning for a Forward Air
Controller's Museum will take place. The Nails already have a pile of
stuff
that has been donated to the FACM, where it will be preserved and
displayed.

The point of this is, recently a number of items have surfaced on
eBay
that are one of a kind and are destined for someone's garage or private
bar
where I doubt they will get their due let alone educate the general
public.
The sellers often don't know what they have and are simply selling the
item
to raise money or dispose of the item. If the few dollars these things
generate is important, so be it. Otherwise, donate or loan these
things to
the FACM. If we don't preserve and protect our collective heritage who
will?

Case in point, a Covey plaque is being auctioned on eBay.

We at the OBA/FACM would love to be able to purchase all of these
items,
but we just can't.

I challenge you folks to preserve your heritage not dispose of it
in
garage sales.
