Have had some free time to leisure read lately.

Two good ones related to the military are Thunder Run by David Zucchino and The Mission by Dana Priest.

Thunder Run is a great account of the 3 IDs pushes into Baghdad. The Mission provides a nice glimpse into CINCS (and their power and trappings; an aide to iron and pack their clothes), and shows why we shouldn't use elite paratroopers for idiotic "nation-building".
