And hate to be the bringer of bad news...but another one is coming. Hurricane Ivan. P.s. Normally I'd do my modly duty of mentioning there was no <spit> after the Frances was spelled wrong. But it'd be a bad idea to spit in such strong, unpredictable wind. More so if others are around. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> "Victims. Aren't we all?" |

DICE,Thanks for the concern on the storm damage. Here in Hahira we had some gusty winds, and lots of rain. Out in the county I saw large trees blown over, and some power lines down.I was able to pick up the limbs, and trash in the yard in about an hour, but there is still a large ''lake'' in the back yard. Am watching the next storm Ivan closely. Hope all is well everywhere else. Richard E.RAY |

new orleans is scare shitless of IVan. The track keeps moving westward, then noth then west. Any thing close to our east will cause major flooding from tiadal surge Up the river we are finished computer models of a storm like Ivan would flood this city with 20 ft plus worth of water, and take upto six months to drain. I dont want anyone to be hit by this but we damn sure dont want it here. Our problem her is unlike florida were are upto 20 ft below sea level in some areas. A hell of place to build a city. |
