WELL ,
I'VE BEEN ON VIOXX FOR OVER 5 YRS FOR PAIN AND SOMEDAYS TOOK 2 ADAY.
SO AFTER SEENING THE FOX NEWS REPORT LAST WEEK ,THE DR TOOK ME OFF IT AND PUT ME ON CELEBREX,NOW THEIR LOOKING INTO IT.
I DIDNT SUFFER A STROKE OR HEART ATTACK,BP IS NORMAL FOR ME,BUT THE F----ING PAIN IS ------
I JUST WANT THE FDA TO GIVE ME A WAVIER AND LET ME HAVE IT BACK.
THEY CAN DO IT,
THE FDA HAS KNOWN FOR YEARS ABOUT THIS COX 2 INHIBITOR PROBLEM.
SOME PEOPLE JUST CANT TAKE IT,OR THEY PERSCRIBE IT FOR A "OWEEEE"
THEY MONTIOR ME EVERY 3 MONTHS FOR LIVER OR KIDNEY DAMAGE. ONLY ONCE DID THEY "PANIC"

NOW A GROUP OF CHICAGO LAWYERS FILLED A LAWSUIT AGAINST MERCK (<img src=newicons/spit.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_bs.gif border=0 align=middle>) NOT A BIG FAN OF THEM, FOR ALL THE VIOXX USERS IN ILLINOIS "HEY I DIDNT" LEAVE ME OUT OF IT.

Thats why many folks live in San Diego.

Drive across the border and get your prescription filled. Perfectly Legal.

Its one very big operation over there.

See the thing here is lawyers are looking to get rich like edwards did. I deal with a compay that does hospice and palliative care. Goose you are the perfect palliative care patient you are in the proecess of dying but not going to die soon you could live for 10 more years who knows. As such you should be given whatever you require to be made comfortable with a quality of life. These fools dont understand they really can not 'hurt you' by treating your pain, but they can 'hurt you' by making you live a prolonged existance with no quality of life and in pain.

This happens all the time with terminal patients where doctors are focused too much on curing instead of accepting the cards on the table and managing a patients disease in a manner that allows a quality of life.

You should be allowed your vioxx, because of where you stand in your disease process. I do not believe vioxx should be given out normal wear & tear, or bumps and buises, but that is not where you fit in.

No being insensitive did not want to come off that way. My point is there are a class of patients being denied care for no good reason other than to say this drug might kill you when they have terminal diseases that cause them to suffer without the medication.

I have watched cancer patient not be given enough narcotics because it may cause them to stop breathing, while they suffer in horrible pain.

Insensitivity is not managing these patients needs or providing comfort so they can have a quality of life. When I speak of a palliative patient these a patients who can live 1 to 20 years at times with a very good quality if their pain and symptoms are managed, realizing you can not cure the underlying disease, but you can make them comfortable and as pain free as possible.

I am medic by training, definitly not good at being sensitive but I do care and think this vioxx drug should be available to patients like goose. Just not available to you run of the mill arthritic knee patient.

VIOXX IS TOTALLY STOPPED PRODUCTION,AND THE REMAINING STOCK DESTROYED,BUT IF THEY ELINMANTE COX 2 INHIBITORS WE'LL END UP WITH RUSH IN REHAB <img src=newicons/tard.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/bounce.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>
BECAUSE THATS THE NEXT STEP OXY CONTEN OR HARD NARCOTICS AND FOLKS THAT AINT EVEN AN OPTION I'LL POP 8 TYENOL DAY 2X TIMES IF NEED BE.
BASED ON THE LASTEST FIGURES FROM THE MS FOLKS ABOUT 36% OF SUFFERS COMMITT SUICIDE WHEN IT STARTS GETTING BAD,
BUT I CANT DO THAT BECAUSE THERE'S A WHOLE LIST OF PEOPLE WHO I STILL NEED TO BE A PAIN IN THE ASS TOO AND I SURE AINT GOING TO GIVE THEM THE SATISFACTION OF MISSING OUT ON IT<img src=newicons/anim_bow.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>PLUS CJ WOULD KILL ME

THANKS FENDER BUDDY FOR LOOKING OUT FOR ME,
MATT I DIDNT THINK YOU MEANT IT THAT WAY,BUT I WONDERED FOR A MINUTE IF YOU WERE HOPING IT WOULD HELP BUSH WITH ONE LESS 50/50 VOTE HANGING.<img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

hehehe have some hope you will come around. But if you dont....hum the better option would be to keep giving you the vioxx lol.

Hope you find relief soon. I agree this is bullshit no medicine is full safe.

Look even thalidimide is back on market for cancer after all of its birth defects. The point here is to control the medicines not eliminate them.

Goose I was transporting a HIV patient in a marjuanna study from a clinic to the hospital in my ambulance. All the sudden I heard click click the man was lighting joint (full prescriped) while on 4 lpm oxygen by nasal canula. By the time we got the hospital my unit looked like a cheach and chong movie when the doors were opened as the smoke poored out. Nothing I did could get this guy to put it out.

for the rest of the day I reaked of marjuanna, my boss and doctors kept pulling me to the side to discuss my problem. Afteral it had to be very bad to be doing it while on duty. I will never forget that day it was hell for me to get anyone to believe what happened.

lol

I am telling the truth it was the patients weed. Lets just say it took a lot of effort to prove to my boss those facts lol.

I could not believe it then and a can barely believe it now. You had to see it.

That just lit up with the oxygen got high in my ambulance. Every other patient who got in that truck for the rest of the day thought they got the magic pharmacy unit.

You gotta love innercity medicine.
