Challenge for Sniper- Mystery New Car...

Well Sniper (i know this should go in the Motorsports Forum Section but i figured it would catch your attention here 1st)

I have been working out a deal on trading in my explorer i finalize it on tuesday (but i have the "replacement" car now). Wanna play a guessing game.....i'll give u a few hints, any other WT members feel free to play along! <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

1. Its a V8 Coupe and umm "just a bit faster" then the 928 (which i'm now considering selling)
2. Its a car that 1st came out 41 years ago (mine happens to be a 2004)
3. Its not one of the cars that i originally wanted

Any ideas....or do you need more hints <img src=newicons/saevil.gif border=0 align=middle>

I was referring to a Ford Mustang. Seems to fit all the criteria.

I'll say a Chevy SS Malibu/Impala because She said (v-8 Coupe) so it cant be a Camero.

Well I just did a little research and unless racegal made a typo, were looking at something from the 1920's. And if I remember all the cruises I've been to, I don't think any of those would be on a lot today.

the 20's? You may want to check your math. My math puts it first out in 1963/64.

Must be a GTO.

I saw one the other day for the first time at Faulkner Pontiac....hideously ugly.

But the GTO costs even more than the Rustang...so that can't be it either...

Of course whatever it is, i'm down for a race. I've already beaten a couple new Mustang GTs, and i've been waiting to find someone that was dumb enough to buy a new GTO so i could race them. So far no one appears to be that stupid though. Heather, don't tell me you're the first... :(

Yeah its a GTO all right.

Its not one of the new ones though (i do rememeber your "teachings" on not buying a new car!)

I love the car, its just quite a bit more power then i have ever had in a vehicle......and i got it for an amazing price (the lady at the dealership is never going to want to see me again <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> )

Oh and Snipe, hope you not dissapointed..... I had your "speed teachings" in mind when i test drove it. You've been my car buddy for awhile now, it actually means alot to me to get your opinion on this one! <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'll have to drive past your house and show you one day, i think if you take a decent look you might like it.

Think on this one, you know me prety well now.......would i buy a car (forget about the explorer) that didn't have a major amount of speed potential? <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
