Fender that is me in July of 81,the first day we wore our blues,day 16 of basic training.
They use to have a Shoppette over by the "MOB" DORMS.
Now remember this is when the "RHT's" were brand new,AC etc.... and they still had the "OLD " WW2 barracks still,thats where I was bunked.
No AC,just a big fan. I'm glad I was in one of those because you got use to the heat quicker,besides it "MADE YOU TUFF"<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>.
Those are my $40.00 Rayband sunglasses.

They had one of those "Photo Mats" for a $1 you got 5 pics,I got more but couldnt find my fatigue ones.

I think Dice was in one of the "MOB"'s too

I have too say I only marched probably less than 10 times,because the "RED FLAG" was up everyday.
I went into basic at 154lbs,I left at 128lbs the Friday before Labor Day for Sheppard AFB Tx.
School was 30 days,they split you in half,TACTICAL 431X1or AIRLIFT/BOMBARDMENT 431X2.I was 431x2.
I touched my first A-10 at the airshow and wanted to work on them one day.
It took just under 4yrs to do it.

Goose I went through less than a year later than you. 17 Feb-82 to 1 Apr 82. I was in the 3709th. Go to this website and see if anyone has posted your flight photo. They are attempting to get a photo of every flight that went through that place.

I think they were still using the MOB's then although I never had to stay in one.

The first day I wore my blues was earlier than most as we got to go to a Spurs vs Lakers game. The one and only professional basketball game I ever went to. Also got to go to a truck and tractor pull a week or so later.
I never used the photo booths. I kinda wish I would have now.
