Hey Dice,

I dont know but I'll throw this out there after reading the "House of Rock" topic.
Bro you should get a position on one of these Military ,Aircraft, Avation magazines or shows etc.
Look at the Discovery Channel, how many times have we all seen shows on Aircraft, not only the A-10 ,but the F-4 also with Mistakes on "Firepower, weapon loads, etc...."
I see these titles "Techinical Assistant" all I can say is they need the "Assistance"

It should be a position where you can stay at home,or sometimes go into the field like you aint got contacts,Yeah right? Everyone Knows the Diceman.

Thanks for the thought Goose but I think jobs like thoses are reserved for retired officers not enlisted.

I'm getting prepaired, signed-up for unemployment yesterday (I qual for 20 weeks), have a "little money" in the bank, and all my bills are paied-up for 2 months.

I have applyed for two jobs on base and just waiting for a reply and I hope things on base "open-up" more in Oct/Nov...

Actually Dice, that's a damned good idea Goose came up with.

With your contacts they'd be nuts not to want you.

Damn Dice, that's it? You need a state that takes better care of its veterans..you would have qual'd for 39 here..and at the max rate of $462/week.

You know...there was an idea of mine, contribute a story to the upcoming Worlds Most Dangerous Places 6. In which the author of the book, Robert Young Pelton, was more than happy to give me a chance to throw in a story if I could get it.

The story & place was the North Carolina SERE School, while Pelton was more than happy to green light the idea, oddly enough Fort Bragg had cold feet about letting me go through that hell on earth and get all hurt. But you on the other hand might be welcomed by "the bearded one" with open arms. Go on, and try to take the course in my place, it'd be fun!

I wouldn't even know where to start guys. Chief, to tell the truth I was happy to find out I had 20 weeks because, I've never used this service in my life and was afraid some might keep me from qualing for anything.

Dice,

You'll have to show for Unempolyment that you were trying to find work and who you sent your resume~ too,So semd them your Resume,
and to the Military channel,or ask for a Grant to finish writing your book .

You have too much too offer in your field plus,Hell if anything
be one of Don Logans or anyone of the several other book pub's out there's contributors.

You'd be surprized ,Besides it beats going down the phonebook starting at "A".

you might have 20 WEEKS ,but you can get an extension for Retraining.
Its a pain-in the ass but YOU EARNED IT.

PLUS now I see where self employed folkls are going to get theirb own version of "Unemployment too"

Iused 4 weeks when I got out,and 8 weeks when we were shut down for repairs at work but, back then I was Maxed-out here in ILLinois for earnings I got $1900 a month for those 2 months plus kids.

You got alot to offer Bro

Goose

Just suggested there is a journo oppertunity left unfinished.

And perhaps if the Diceman takes over that little cake walk that's been left unacomplished and the paycheck I was interested in for a few honestly good reasons ...then perhaps I could make it easier for him by deliberately and maliciously restarting a cheerfull conversation or two with a few members of the spec ops community...after I got wound up and basically took some of the things they were saying as more or less meaning "go to hell and take your fiance' with you".
