Today marks a sad day in this family.

Due to a case of hip displacia that has gotten to unbearable to even look at my dog living with...earlier today Mcbride, a grumpy twelve year old Dalmation that became infamous after trying to bite an Arab girl/miserable bitch in 2001, made his last trip to the Veteranian's office late this morning.

This member of my family will be missed. <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

As a pet owner myself I can sympathize with your loss.

Had to do the same thing 20 years ago Tock, it's never easy, just rest assured it was the right thing for the dog and that's what's really important.

Tock,

Sorry man, it's not easy, but it's the right thing to do...

Thanks everyone. He managed to survive for twelve years, and among other things his hips had gotten pretty bad.

The three worst examples were when he rushed to the back door to go out, slipped on the floor, fell, and was unable to get up for a few minutes.

Then back in august I heard a strange thumping noise on the stairs, and discovered him about halfway up, only able to pull himself up with his front legs on his own.

And the last bad tumble he took was falling down the entire flight of stairs tuesday morning, and he was unable to even move for fifteen minutes.
