Shot this group off hand, 25 feet, slow fire. My hand is in there for scale. Ammo was Federal Hydrashok JHP.

I sure hope so, because having someone try to hold the paper up like that for you while you took your shots would be awfully dangerous ;) !

Nice grouping!

Not a bad grouping at all. I love hydroshocks. Been carrying them for years in my .380 and 9mm.

Federal is a great brand for quality ammo I think.

Took my LCP to the range the other day and ripped off 71rds. I really love this little pistol. Contrary to rumors, i don't think the recoil is bad at all. This is such a fun little gun to shoot with the laser. :D

Well, i've been carrying LCP as my every day carry piece for about a year and a half now, and I have to say i'm pretty pleased with it in most ways.

First, a list of the modifications i've made to the pistol:

*Crimson Trace Laserguard 5mw/635nm pressure activated laser
*Wolff extra power recoil spring (I use HOT +P ammo in my gun)
*+1 7rd magazine with extra length mag spring (2)
*Polished feed ramp
*\"Fluff and buffed\" action/trigger.
*Kel Tec P3AT belt clip
*Ammunition Buffalo Barnes 80gr .380+P Barnes Solid Copper Hollowpoints. These rounds deliver 1130fps adv. velocity in a Ruger LCP (this is super hot for a .380)

The factory LCP sights are totally inadequate IMO, so the CT laser is a huge upgrade on this weapon (as is obvious by the target picture i posted a few posts earlier). The make firing it with speed and precision much, much easier to accomplish.

With the fluffed and buffed action, and after thousands of rounds of live and dry fire, the trigger is very smooth and IMO, just about right with regards to pull weight. It's not a match trigger for sure, but it is a very consistent and serviceable DAO pull. I like it.

With the polished feed ramp and extra strength recoil spring, the pistol is 100% reliable, even with the +1 mags. I also like that the +1 mags give you the space to get an extra finger on the gun.

The biggest con with the pistol, really the only con thus far, is the finish on the blued slide, which is now showing extensive usage wear.

The P3AT belt clip is extremely convenient, i love not needing a holster to carry it securely and be able to draw it quickly, but yes...that steel clip definitely makes the gun unpleasant to fire!

Here's a pic of how my little LCP looks now:

You can see in this picture how much smaller the LCP is than even the very compact HK P7. The slide wear is clearly visible in this pic.

Overall, i really like the pistol, but the lack of true iron sights and the poor durability of the slide finish have made me decide that i will eventually upgrade to a Kahr P380. I have read rave reviews of that little gun, and the pix i've seen posted of it's accuracy are extremely impressive.

So overall, the LCP is a very good gun once you make a few modifications to it, but be sure to get the stainless steel slide model. The blued version is just not durable enough for EDC usage IMO.
