Not sure if anyone has had a go at building this kit yet, I was just wondering if anyone knew if the kit has the decals as if it was based at Bentwaters, I looked at the picture on the tamiya site but it's not clear enough to see. I know the Airfix/Revell kit has the correct markings (built that one when I was 12 but never completed it properly) but that's a 1:72 scale and I'd like to go a little bigger. Is the tamiya kit a good one to build, I know that their other models have great detail but I have never built any of their planes? |

Just found a couple of sites where others have already built the model, they seem to complain about the lack of detail and not fitting properly, I have shot off an email to them about the issues they faced and see what manufacturer they would prefer...although the model does come with the following FW:- 23rd TFW, 76th TFS, England AFB, LA. 354th TFW, 355th TFS, Myrtle Beach AFB, SC. 354th TFW, 356th TFS, Myrtle Beach AFB, SC. 354th TFW, 353rd TFS, Myrtle Beach AFB, SC. 81st TFW, 511th TFS, Bentwaters AFB, England. Don't know if that's a help to anyone else but it's made me more interested in getting this model or one in the same scale but with better reviews. |
