I came across a guy through eBay who works for Bell & Howell. He sent me a CD some time ago with some kits that he has done over the years. Here are jus a few of the 80 pictures for just the NAW A-10 kit. I hope you enjoy them. I can put up more, or if you want, some from the other kits. Some of the other kits are an AH-1W Super Cobra, an OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, a Fokker DR-1 and ME-163.

I understand that there is now available a kit (mostly just spacers) to correct the spacing in the engine nacells. As the models were produced (by most manufacturers, in all scales), the fan blades are too close to the front opening. The kits have spacers to be inserted to back the fan into the nacell further to the correct scale distance.

Well it could either be the reverce scoop forward of the ladder door or the round ladder itself, early ladders were square (the NAWS aircraft had the early square one).

Dice, the references I have here show NAWS both with and without nose warts and the reverse scoop depending on the time frame. What caught my eye is that the grate/vent between the scoop and ladder door are different, though. Also, what's with the box right behind the aft cockpit off-centered to port, it's round in the photos?

I was also curious about the third ladder design nobody seems to talk about, the multi-tubular one.

The tube ladder you are refering to is actually a F-105 ladder. We used them when our old square tube ladders broke and a new one wasn't to be had for quite some time (common 0 bal in supply).

The ALR-69 (warts) didn't make it to the A-10 until the late 80s, early 90s I guess they did some testing on the NAWs aircraft?? Don't know about the grate being different...how do you mean? The large scoop should be covering that grate and a smaller, rounder one, should be where the large one is on this model (I think).

As far as the box, I don't know, I haven't studied the NAWS aircraft enough to tell you and have very few pictures of the aircraft to go on.

I better question would be what is missing from the left side? Hint: why the reverse scoop was taken off. Also were the bug eyes on 1667?

BTW this is without a doubt one of the best models I've seen. Someone spent a lot of time on her.
