Okay, so whats everyone's opnion on alternative fuels? With all the squaking of being too dependant on foreign oil and the need for new technology whats out there thats worth a shit? I can see that the hybrid stuff isnt all its cracked up to be. My guess is hydrogen if big oil would stay out of the technology and allow it to be developed.

Gravity....its not just a good idea, its the law.

The find off the coast of lousiana should eventually take quite good care of the foriegn dependance, which probably makes the technology part moot.

Snipe, that oil find will just about cover you and RG's 928's.

As far as the rest of us are concerned we need something else.

What the idiots pushing hybrids have forgotten is the electricity has to come from somewhere. And that somewhere currently has a carbon footprint or debt or history or what every clever word folk use for pollution.

Even 'free' solar energy is no good.

Sat on a flight from Korea next to an engineer for one of the worlds leading Solar cell manufacturers and he pointed out even the highest yield cells still need to run for about 30 years to 'repay' their production and installation environmental costs.

My money is on 'Zero Point Energy Hover Frogs' or failing that Hydrogen Fuel Cells...

Dude, according to the article the find is <b>30% more oil than has been used thus far in the history of mankind</b>.

That should take care of all of us Americans for quite a long time.
