I finally had a day off that the weather wasn't completely disguisting, and got a chance to really play with the new GTO!

I went down to a well known tight curvy road in Philadelphia this afternoon and just "played" for a little while. I had lots of fun, it even would have been worth it if i had been pulled over....not that i was speeding or anything! <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

You can't beat the handling of my 928 on that road, but the power of the GTO is amazing (and fun!!!!)

I just got the bilstien/eibach package installed all the way round on my 928, with new mounts and new 8" rear phonedial rims(only took me about 14 hours of labor, lol).

Das Shark handles literally five times better than before. In fact, it's now the best handling car i've ever driven in my life. I cannot believe that a street car can even handle like this...

No body roll whatsoever. You point the nose, the car just turns in planed completely 'flat' on it's rubber with absolutely no turn in delay. No understeer at all, even at the extreme limit of traction. The 928 now has perfectly nuetral handling, with 300+ HP of on demand V-8 Hemi supplied throttle on oversteer available at any RPM over 2500.

What i'm saying, is the fucking car rocks. <img src=newicons/saevil.gif border=0 align=middle>

You really must stop by for a ride miss.

I'm still waiting to re-do my suspension and motor mounts (working on figuring out how to do that one). Once i pay to renew my car insurance for the year in October, i'll go back to spending for the shark.

I'd offer to help, but i'd want your soul in exchange.

It's a miserably dirty and time consuming job to change the mounts/shocks in our cars.

If you have the Koni setup(i think you mentioned you did), be prepared to spend 1200 bucks for four new shocks.Personally i think your car is in good shape suspension wise. I'd just adjust the ride height up. IMO you don't need shocks or mounts.

Yeah is about $1125.00 for 4 new Koni's, so that has to wait and that doesn't even include the eibach springs. My 928 still had really nice handling, but you know just incase i came across a big pile of cash or something. <img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>

The Motor mounts are a big one i knew they had to be changed when i bought the car. The ones i have are getting pretty worn out and sinking.

I should have the ride height adjusted soon, i'm still trying to get my hands on a spanner wrench. Don't worry i'll keep you updated as i play with the car......i lknow that you like to hear these things <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hehehehe, just your company will do miss.

I have to lower mine about an 1" anyway. It's sitting a lot higher with the new Bilstiens installed. I'm ordering new brake pads tommorow, i should have them by Wed, so if ya wanna get together Thurs or Fri. we can do a little wrenching. Buy some penetrating oil NOW and spray the living hell out of the adjuster nuts(they're located on the bottom of the shocks) every day until we get together.

Believe me, you'll thank me...lol.
