Post subject: | Car Question |
So my Nissan Sentra SE-R car is only a few months old with just over 2000 miles on it. I noticed since it has been getting cold i have a \"creak\" coming from the windshield when i'm driving. Its not just when i hit bumps its like random. Anyone have any suggestions? Is this just an effect of the cold weather or something i should be calling the dealer about? |

Assuming it's under warrantee still, and you can find a condition that you can cause it to happen on demand, I'd say take it in. If it's something to do with the seal of the glass, you don't want it doing the freeze/thaw cycle as winter approaches. Can you make it squeek by pressing on the inside perimeter of the windshield? Keep in mind, of course, that this opinion is free and you get what you pay for. ![]() |

That was the least of my problems it only got worse as the week progressed 2010 Nissan Sentra SE-R with 2300 miles on it. All was ok until last week. I started the car up in the am to go to work and heard a slight whining noise for a few seconds that went away as i was driving, i scheduled an appt with the nissan dealership the next day. Sound was louder the next afternoon and i brought the car in, was told i had a deformed belt tensioner and belt, so they had to order parts. I was told fine to drive on because they tightened it and to bring the car back in 4 days for the new part to be put on. The dealership installed new belt and tensioner and i pickled the car up during my lunch break and went back to work. Later that night i went to leave work and the LOUDEST screaming noise was heard when i put the car in drive. It was so bad i had to call a tow truck to take it to the dealership. I come to find out that it is \"according to them\" the ac compressor clutch that was deformed and causing the whole problem. They replaced this and i have the car back but i am paranoid. I've never had a nissan before and i could use a little reassurance that this sounds like a logical problem that was causing the noise. I'm scared that i'm going to get stuck again. The car is 4 months old i shouldn't have this kind of problems. Any help or suggestions? |

Nissans are pretty good vehicles, i wouldn't be overly worried. |
