It was on the 1st of September 1985, when Germany lost one of his greatest talents, Stefan Bellof.

He was from Gießen, Germany, which is about 40km from where I live. Today I was remembered again since I worked with I guy who used to drive kart-racing with him.

He is the all-time record holder on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife (Northloop), unbelieveable 6:11,13, which made him the first driver (and up to now, only driver ever) to average faster than 200km/h. (car was a Porsche - what else - 956)

This video I had never seen before.
Bellof was also a F1 driver in his career.
I to young to remember him, but I read F1 magazines. Mostly old races are intrested (70s/80s)

You´re right Dutchy, he was at the start of a promising F1 career- He had a Ferrari-Contract for 1986...
