Hi there Everyone!

My name is Kevin Stabler and am based in the UK. I have been writing a book on the A-10 - "The Hog History" for the last 15 years and still lots more to do!

I was wondering if you could possibly help me out alittle? The book is basically the history of every Hog ever built, this includes when built, history of the aircraft and details such as mission info in Desert Storm and all ops since.

What I am trying to find out is the data on each aircraft of what missions they flew in ops. For example after Desert Storm, mission markings were applied to aircraft for which target was destroyed (tanks, apcs etc), do you have any info or photos showing any of the mission marks? I am looking for info on all ops from Desert Storm onwards (Iraq, Bosnia, Ops Northern and Southern Watch, Afghanistan, Iraq Part 2 etc etc)

I am also looking at putting in photos of all nose art worn by every Hog - again can you help on this? All photos used will be paid and credited.

Hope you can help some!
Thanks again for the excellent site

Dice is probably going to be your better source for that kind of information. He'll answer eventually, if he wants to.

Man that's one tall order! I don't think that kind of detail is keep on each airframe. Only specific, noteworthy events are documented, like the two aircraft with air-to-air kills in Desert Storm.

I'm sorry to say I'm also planing on writing a book on the A-10 when I retire and all the info, data, and nose/ladder door art I have are for my book. Good luck on your project because if you could pull together that kind of information I will be first in line to buy a copy!

dice is it possible that he might contact boneyard web site for the info. most markings may be covered up by protective coatings applied to the airframes is it possible.

Okay, Draggin, lemme introduce you to one of vocabulary's greater inventions: the Question Mark. "?" In order to make on of these signs appear on your computer, you must (If this isn't too difficult) Press the "Shift" button, while at the same time press the "/" button. The result of those two button being pushed at the same time will be a Question Mark, or "?"

Hey guys, we had better lay off Draggin...

I don't think he is who he says he is ...

I can think of one other character who speaks this way. And he's one rock hard dude that could kick anybody's butt on this board. And that's without getting his lightsabre out

He's YODA...

Thanks guys I will be calling in that favor soon (someday)!

Asswan draggin, man I can hardly make out what you're trying to say most of the time! You can either come clean and tell us who you are (for real) or just don't talk to me anymore because, you have just not impressed me. You haven't broken any forum rules as far as I known and shouldn't be banned but, it's painfuly obvious you are not who you clamed to be (An A-10 pilot..riiiight!) and, I feel, not even flulant in English so, come clean or leave me alone!!
