The Horry County Museum in Conway SC will be having a 354th TFW exhibit up from September 5th until the end of the year. The exhibit will be focused on the 354th TFW at Myrtle Beach. A large portion of the exhibit will deal with A-10's here at the beach. Our local Daedalians Group, Flight 77 of Myrtle Beach, along with retired A-10 pilots and enlisted, have loaned the Museum tons of memorabilia from the three A-10 Squadrons (the 353rd, 355th and the 356th) that served here. Examples of artifacts included are an A-10 Barrel and Ladder door along with a complete A-10 flight suit on a mannequin. We will have A-10 Desert Storm footage shot by the Wing in 1991 while in King Fahd, Saudi Arabia, local media coverage during the '91 war, and gun camera and Fairchild test footage playing on a wall-mounted TV/DVD for patrons to view. We will have on display have both factory and scale models of nearly every type of aircraft flown by the unit from WWII until the base's closure. Admission is free; if you have any questions regarding the exhibit please feel free to contact me: James D'Angina at (843) 248-1542 or email me at
rh53d@hotmail.com. If you are an A-10 fan and are in the area before the exhibit is open, stop by and I'll give you a quick tour of the exhibit in progress.
