Hi there

Anyone know how many missions 77-0256 Crawfish flew in Desert Storm whilst part of the 706 TFS?

Also any ideas on the kill markings too?

Many thanks
Kevin

I think you guys are a little confushed here, all the A-10 from the 706th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 926th Tactical Fighter Group, New Orleans Louisiana, out of King Fahd Air Field Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia carried a crawfish on the nose, it was the squadron's mascott.

77-205 was named the Chopper after downing a BO-105 helo with the GAU-8A. The nose art show a crawdad with a chopper in one claw...

<img src="http://www.warthogpen.com/fame_files/2052.jpg" border=0>

Some jets had tanks in the crawdad's claw and other symbols meaningfull to the pilot or graound crews but all have a crawfish.

Ugly but well hung!
