LtCol. John "Motley" Mott with the 104th has 4000 hours in the Hog. It was a pretty big deal when he reached that mark. Dude that is 166 days and about 13 hours in a Hog cockpit in the air. Big cudos to anyone who makes that milestone. I dont have half that time sleeping in my hammock under the wing.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson

Ok, Taking hammock on my next trip! I never even thought of that!!!

Any particular type of hammock? I don't want to fall out and hit my head if I try it out here on the flightline waiting for a pilot of a (scoff scoff) specialist. J/K

Hammoks were the home away from home back in my TASS days in our FOLS with the Army. We didnt tie down on Concrete.

I prefered the Jungle hammocks. Basically like a Hamock with an enclosure Kept the Critters from Crawling on your PJ's, But you were asking to play the leading role in the current prank or geek of the week battle. and you could Safety pin Pictures to them. I prefered nice Centerfolds while the old buzzards had pictures of their kids in College back in the world. Life was good at 22.

I went to the sporting goods store and got one for like 25 bucks. It has a 500lb capacicity (I think) and has two steel rings on each end. Perfect for slinging in between like 4&8 if it is raining or 1&3 if it is sunny and nice. I dint get one with a cover that would havew been way cool. Funny thing I woke up groggy in between 1&3 this past time in the desert, stood up and whacked my head on the sway brace.DDOOOHHHH ! So in my absence of brilliance I decided to lay the other way, head at 3 and feet at 1. Dozed off woke up groggy and whack! Different sway brace same spot on forehead. It was pretty embarrassing but really funny.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson
