I would like to avoid emailing it around due to its size (2.5MB). Did you right click and save as and do you have the latest Media Player?

If you have broadband, let me know and I'll mail it to you.

Or better yet, just buy the CD...I don't think you'll be disappointed, and as TinyGiant said, it's only 15 bucks!

Cheers! M2

Pjhinders

Are you running WinXP? I was able to download and play the file at home, but was only able to download it at work. When I tried to play it I got the following…

Welcome to Windows Media Personal License Migration Service.

You have reached this page because you are attempting to do one of the following with content that was copied from CDs:

Restore the content on a computer or operating system that has been upgraded, or use existing content on another one of your computers.

PLEASE NOTE:
If you re-install an operating system or install a completely new operating system on a computer on which you have previously maintained licenses, that computer will appear to be a new, unique computer to this service when you migrate licenses. However, upgrading the operating system will not change the identity of the computer as far as this process is concerned.

Any unauthorized use of the content may be a violation of the law, including U.S. and international copyright laws, and may subject you to civil and criminal prosecution.

If you wish to read our policy page, click the link above. If you want to migrate licenses now, click the Migrate License button. Otherwise, click Cancel.

At home I was able to migrate my license and play the file, but at work I wasn’t…don’t know why but probably due to administrative privileges set on the computer (or lack thereof). If you have the file downloaded (saved in a file, about 5.2MB as TinyGiant said) then it is a problem on your computer.

Good luck!

Cheers! M2

For what it is worth, this is the error message I got when I tried to migrate my license at work...

This content has been shared by multiple users on multiple machines and cannot proceed with further migration.

Don't ask me what it means...any computer maintainers out there who can decode this?

Cheers! M2

Hey y'all,

I am one of the Gringos (Viper driver, but I hope I'm welcome here). We are fired up that the songs are getting circulated and that most people seem to like them. If you ask anyone who was there in Kuwait for OSW/OIF when we wrote and performed "I'm a Pilot", they'll tell you that they liked it. It was written as a tribute to the crew chiefs for putting up with us fighter pilots, not as an insult in any way. If you can't make fun of yourself, then how can you make fun of everyone else we take a stab at (sts) on the CD?

Speaking of which, if anyone is interested in getting a copy of "Live at the Sandtrap", checkout www.dosgringosrocks.com. It's still under construction, but there's some good stuff there and you can order the CD. To all those easily offended, proceed at your own risk. It ain't for the kids. Check six,

Trip

Welcome aboard mighty Lawn Dart driver!

Our own beloved Mr.Mudd was also a single engine flameout from crashing pilot too, hehehehe.

PS: When in doubt...make fun of the navy. ;)

Hey,

I just wanted to say even though I'm not an A-10 person that song "I'm a pilot" is hilarious. We listen to it everyday at work and it makes us all die laughing, even our pilots. I just wanted to say thanks to whoever wrote it.

Hello - I work on the F-35 and we're always looking for entertainment during the Pilot Review Team meetings. I would very much like a set.

quote:

When we were over in the desert for OIF, there was an F-16 squadron at Jaber with us. There were two extremely talented (musically, anyway ) Viper Drivers who wrote and performed a myriad of songs about being a figher pilot. These are excellent songs. They were so liked that the pair went to a studio upon return to the States a had the songs professionally recorded. The CD is out and is being offered for sale.

If anyone is interested in obtaining this CD, let me know by replying to this post. I will try to put up a sample song that you can listen to sometime tomorrow. However, these guys put a lot of effort into this, so I won't be offering songs for download as there's too much of a chance for piracy that way.

They are offering the CDs for $15 each. However, if he mass ships them to me, the price may be slightly higher (not more than $1 or so) to pay for the individual shipping to each buyer.

If you have any questions or want a CD (or CDs), let me know and we'll get one to you. I'll post here where you can download and listen to a sample song as soon as I can get one uploaded.

Before anyone asks... if there are any fighter pilots out there reading this, this CD is not the disgusting songs you're used to singing in the bar on Friday night. Unlike those fighter pilot only songs, this CD is (mostly) consumable by all ages and genders.

Their website http://www.dosgringosrocks.com has some samples of a few of the songs, as well. SnapRolls, you can purchase the CD directly from the site.

BTW, the whole CD rocks! As funny as "I'm a Pilot" is, I think "The Wingmen" is even funnier, mostly because the same idea applies for copilots.

Beagle,

Check out dosgringosrocks.com. You won't regret it.

(Right now it looks like the site is down for one reason or another...)
