Taken from my historcal DVD here's a short (1min/1.8meg) video clip of the Avenger testing, download may be slow because my server has been having trouble but I think it's worth the wait!

well... i've never seen anything so spectaculair as this... WOAW! i've often seen A-10's strafing on container targets (we got a range close by) but never was it spectaculair like this movie! i love the fireworks!!!

Anry, Do you mean the Nordhorn-range? Only TP ammunition was used there.
I don't think HEI rounds and especially API rounds are ever used for target practice. I only see disadvantages in doing this. Let someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes Magvas, i ment the Nordhorn-Range indeed! it was always a pleasure to see the warthog jocks firing up their Avenger gun!!

too bad them *#@#@ germans had to take over the range... now the A-10 is only aloud to throw practice bombs at the range, no more GAU-8 sound, because it was too loud...%$#@%@#

No probs here either, awesome footage. I especially liked the destruction of tank #169 there at the end, panel flying off end over end. Did that ever come down or is it still floating?<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
