I know what you mean, learning everything that is in DCS A-10C is taking lots of time.

Of subject, have you recieved any emails for 76th FS prints? Last month after our drill weekend I was told a lot of folks had interest in ordering prints so I gave them your email information.

Did some skinning today....in the release of the game they only had the 74th so I did the 75th and 76th so I can have the full 23rd FG....

Then I did a Euro-1 scheme for Osan based on 177 (my jet I was DCC on in 97/98 )

Of course had to have my door art :D

And then one for Osan's current scheme....

A question and a comment...

Isn't 1964, shown above as the FT 476 FS commander's jet, actually the 74 FS commander's jet? And is that the jet with the Desert Storm helicopter kill?

Osan does not carry the ALQ-131 ECM pod, they carry the ALQ-184 long version.

Tail numbers are generated by the sim so couldn't fix as well as the only ECM pod that's in the sim is the ALQ-131.

Limitations of the sim unfortunately.

Coach, prkiii has already been warned of the threat of a visit from the 'Tailcode Police' in another thread! :P

prkiii, nice. I've worked with sims before and know the limits you are held under and with those limitations you are producing some some nice work.

Years ago when a couple of us worked on this Sim as consultants. I was pretty nuts about Flight sims at the time. But after dealing with all the aviation and flight sim Nazi`s... Stalkers.... Piddle pack sniffers etc......I got really burned out of it all.... I haven't touched that Sim, or flight sims since the SSI/Ubisoft days.

Now I live here next to Fuji Speedway, Go to all the GT500/GT300 Races, Drive my Skyline around the Track. on Saturdays test and tune..... Bought a Shifter Kart (my god im Nutz)

Then last week a friend and I built a Driving Pit out of lumber. ( yeah ive completely lost it!)

I wonder if Race car drivers feel the same way about raceing simulation enthusiasts.

Nice FLCS package by the way. Beats the old CHproducts gear i used years ago.

...I guess remnants of my Flight sim Past still exist.

Here is a LOMAC guide for Simulating a simple Fac Mission in Lomac that AlphaKilo and I contributed on back when the Simulation was Beta and the SIM Nazis were in need of sustenance!

I'm the same way Thug! I was on the beta team for Strike Fighters: Project 1 and Wings Over Vietnam from Strategy First. Months and months of testing, filling out bug reports, downloading today's new patch, and more testing...just finally made flight simming not so much fun anymore. I haven't flown a flight sim other than maybe a quick hop to see if it's still fun for probably 4-5 years. I'm still on the fence about DCS: A-10C because even though it's gorgeous I don't want just another flight sim taking up space if I'm not going to fly it and dedicate the time to learn it all.

I'm huge into racing sims and have been for the past 5-6 years...lol. I don't have a pit, but I did join the SCCA and did real road course ITA racing for two years. I quit real racing two years ago because it's too dang expensive but I race rFactor online at SimHQ about twice a week.

I only help test about once a week and I focus on the multiplayer aspect of testing. I've got about 120 \"flight\" hours with the Virtual Squadron I fly with and even have air-to-air refueling down (well except for in turns, the tanker turns so quickly it's hard to stay connected).

Here are a few pics (and a few videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/paulrkiii?feature=mhee)....

Cool screenies! The last one though, I think he took a wrong turn. :) That does look quite a bit like Nellis.

That nellis map is from Beta 3...I haven't flown the update but from what I've been told and pics I've seen it looks amazing!

Different subject...are ya'll going to Red Flag in August at Nellis? I volunteered to go so hopefully they'll let me. i'll be a little upset if they pick some of our 3 levels still in upgrade training over me now that i've got my 5 level back and APU run cert.

Oops, somehow I missed this post...lol.

No, we're not doing Red Flag this year. I think we might next year though. We're scheduled for month long Snowbird at DM in Jan split into two TDYs. I signed up for the entire month.
