But i am a member of a lot of forums and i done nothing to merit your scorn or abuse.In fact i think i am the 1 deserving an apology.


I ask how many Mavs an A-10 can carry because a book says 10 and i could only carry 6 in Lomac.I then find in Lomac i can load 10 and state so in the forum.

I then get a reply from Goose in Caps all the way asking
what i'd asked for in the first place.

I replied why and since then i am accused of back chat to a long established member and i am also called bunlicker and a-hole.

Go figure who's what?

I've been in this forum for about 3 years and the one thing I've learned is that a thick skin is required. Don't take stuff personally. I've stepped on my peepee a few times myself. Just last week actually (thanks, Dice). Goose always writes in Caps due to eyesight issues. Lighten up, would ya? We've discovered that LOMAC allows 10 Mavs, which is unrealistic. So just let it be for the love of God.

I guess it comes down to this...a few of us have been here for years...and post count doesn't always reflect that...we are "kinda" a family so to say...so when someone new comes around...we tend to "over react".....this isn't the first time...and I'm sure it won't be the last time...hell...my first few days as a mod I pissed a lot of people off...lol...we all do...but we just keep on postin....

More clarification:

Two lauchers can carry Mavs. The LAU-88 has three rails, the LAU-117 one. Seven pylons on the A-10 have the MAU-40 rack with the 30-inch hooks to carry either, though theoretically, you can use the 14-inch lug placement on the 117 to put them on 1, 2, 10, and 11. Wiring is another issue. Because bombs are usually put on TERs in the center, only two stations are usually loaded with Mavs. The only 88 in active service on Spang is in load barn. When we got the new A/A 88s, we accepted them, and put them right back in the crates. A normal load is four, because the stations loaded are near the landing gear, and the wheels stick out, the inboard stations of 88s are not loaded, because the rocket motor might melt yoru tire.

For kicks, you <i>could</i> put 19 on a Hog, I don't know how many you could fire.

Concur with the love. Simple questions or opinions tend to be viciously attacked here, as I too have learned the hard way. On a different issue, which was rather contentious (and I am sure you all know which one), I took a few face shots from people for a comment I made. It dealt with competition between A-10 units, and as hard as it may believe, that exists and like it or not sometimes that gets ugly early. I let the issue drop when the personal insults started, but as Warthog30 says it does help to be thick-skinned. If I may make a suggestion to all, take those conversations off-line directly with the individual involved, you may get a further explanation that I provided on this forum may cause you to be embarrassed by your comments. It is simple professional courtesy and I know we are all professionals here. Praise in public, criticize in private, it is a basic leadership trait we all learn.

By the way, for all you that did attack my comments in that other thread, I truly love all A-10s, and have a FT A-10 on my desk, teeth and all!

Now, back to fun…

God I hope you are not a weapons troop. The misinformaition in your short post is unbelievable. The A-10 carries AGM-65's on 3&9, that is it. The fact that 3-9 have MAU-40's means nothing. There is not a legal 65 config other than 3&9. So it is not that these are the only two stations usally loaded with 65's they are the only ones. Next the LAU-117 has 30" lugs just like the 88. Do your homework before spreading misinformation, Pup.
