THANKS TG!!!!! I got mine in yesterday. Absolutely AWESOME!!!!! I can't wait to use some of the footage in the classroom when teaching LASTE, TVM, and CAVTR. They are GREAT!!!! I'm truly appreciative. Words could never express it...it you were here I'd lay a big kiss on you . Do you care if I make copies for the other A-10 avionics instructor? I'm truly excited about using these in class. It may seem strange but I think my favorite footage (atleast from what I've seen so far and I have only scratch the surface of these CDs) is the Tornado in the funnel footage...LOL. And now I can show the students practically all the symbology on the HUD...even my husband had never seen the FEDS. I think they will get a much clearer picture of what we're trying to tell them....THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!
PS....sorry for rambling...I'm just excited !

If it were easy...everyone would do it!

TG -

Got my CDs yesterday. THANKS! Some of the stuff I've seen before, but there's tons I haven't...

I must say I was slightly disturbed by the birdstrike video. Doesn't she know she isn't allowed to scream like a 10 year old girl when stuff like that happens?

I showed my wife that, and my wife said, "She needs to grow a set...doesn't sound like your typical Hog driver." At first she thought it was a joke, but when I played it a second time she just walked away.

Got my set in the mail yesterday. Much Thanks.
As most others have said just scratched the surface of them.
If you are 1 of the pilots at the Cleveland Airshow the beer will be on me.

Go to the 'HUD Video 1' CD. Select 'Miscellaneous', then 'A10 Bird Strike 001'. I warn you, it is distrubing.

I will caveat this by saying I don't care whether you are male or female...you just DON'T respond like that to a birdstrike, or any other malfunction with the jet! I can say with almost certainty that she is a screamer...

Pyle,
I don't know if she is a screamer, but she did get her tactical from that event. Don't be so hard on her, she isn't like that all the time.

Wouldn't be BASH, would it? Well, you'd think I'd have learned by now, but you reap what you sow. I hit a red-tailed hawk today, right on the leading edge of #3 weapons pylon. It came down the left side, and I got on the G as quickly as possible, but it didn't help. I managed to get out a quick, "CLIMB - BIRD" on the Fox Mike. Somehow I contained myself from screaming. Post flight showed a little sheet metal damage on the leading edge of the pylon, missed the LAU-117 and D model TGM completely.

Our tally for the day was two birds and a ground hog. Surprised Scho wasn't fielding calls from PITA, considering that he ran over that poor defenseless ground hog.

Wait till you Get midaired in an 8.5 G turn During an A2A sortie. Its a humbling experiance. You get numb real quick to future events afterwards.

We all react to things a bit differntly when we bust our tails....nothing is ever the same afterwards

Scored a few birdies myself yesterday. 3 on the right wing leading edge, 1 on the left slat and several into #1. Oh, my crew chief was so happy.

JGunn,

I don't hold a copyright to anything on those discs, but some people do. As long as those files are only used for personal use, you can make as many copies as you want. The other files are free to anyone that wants to use 'em. Copyrighted materials are marked as such (see Grouchy Videos on one of the video discs).

Ervani,

I don't require anything be sent in return, however if you want to send me something, my address is on the envelope.

Angry,

As far as further production goes, it just depends on whether I feel like going out and buying a bunch more CDs and taking the time to burn 'em. As it is, I've gone through 150 CDs, cases and labels and packaged/mailed 'em all with a cost of just over $350 for it all and about 20 minutes per CD (including burning, sorting, labelling & packaging). That one time dollar and time amount isn't a big deal, but you can easily tell that continuous production will start to add up in both. Bottom line is for now, I'm not planning on creating any more sets. You may be able to convince someone that's got a set to make a copy for you, but I can't promise it and probably wouldn't expect it. I'm sorry you were unable to get in on the inital issue, but I don't think I can afford the cost/time of it anymore.

That's too bad... i really hoped you would make some more sets, but then again, i can understand you why you dont continue. thx for making that clear.

If anyone else can make me a copy of those cd's i would be very thankful! (ofcourse i'm willing to pay for the expences that will be made)

Oh...the poor airman that had to clean that up...bathrooms...birdstrikes...I had to do a few of both (more birdstrikes than bathrooms)...My first jet at Moody had a bird strike the day she arrived at the base...we got to do an acceptance inspection & bird strike crap at the same time...

Brought to you by your friendly neighborhood moderator...

On the range, there is a scored target with a system that counts hits. It doesn't count actual impacts, it actually senses the pressure differential/sound as the bullets pass.

What I am in the process of doing is compressing Tiny’s discs to zip files. I am putting them in my shared folder for KAZAA. They will be the only files there. Do a search in Kazaa for T_G- .
If Tiny, or anyone else objects I will discontinue Immediately.

Thanks again Tiny
