I've never shot one but I know one thing, I would insure the glass is set at an angle so the bullets fly away from the shooter!!

Just wondering if anyone has taken a center windscreen glass to the shooting range to see what damage is done by different rounds? No i haven't tried it yet but some guys were asking and it got me wondering? |

I've personally only shot side glasses. All rifle calibers went right through with the exception of .22lr. I shot it with .22lr, 5.56x45, 7.62x39, 7.62x54r, and 30-06. I've seen others shoot center glasses. It really is bulletproof, although I don't know what calibers it was vs. I've smashed a center glass with a chock before and thrown it off a conex. It completely spiderwebbed instantly, took a severe beating before the seals around the sides broke and let the glass spill out, but the laminate on the surfaces never broke. |

9197 Took a \"Golden BB\" on the first week of the AIR WAR in 91, in the center windscreen , never went thru it crazed it, but they thought it was a 23mm rnd. The pilot has the Center panel if A/R Pony'ed it up. Goose |
