Hey Joe,

I started getting those \"Factory\" version tapes\" from VHS to DVD Burned.
I 'm using one of those \"Roxio Things\" that let you do it.
I wasn't going to buy a New Haupp- PCI Kit for my Desk Top, I never was given the kit with my \"Computer \" .

The tape is from 1992 , and from a \"Group \" who must of gotten the tapes from the Copies from the USAF or Fairchild.

But they are the Official \" Sells \"Propaganda Tapes\" from the Company .

Parts of the Tapes are \"Into the Future scenes \" so they use Fuzzy Funky color to mask a Real Training event for Us but the Warsaw Pact stuff is Real World

Because they \"Hip That the A-10 IS now Operational with TAC and USAFE and 6 Squadrons at Bent waters AB UK. lololol

Then the 3rd Movie is the Sales pitch for the NAW-10 and footage of it flying and etc....

.I have \"Lousy Editing Software\" so I'll send you a Copy in RW. It does look better on my Laptop In High Res.. (Its a 16\" Widescreen )

But I love the Part that says \" A Anti-Armour Load would be 6 Mav's and a Full load of AP 30mm (Thats it). LOLOLOLOLOL.

They did get the Damage Estimate On the Nose! 9223 is proof. It's kind of scary they pin pointed that one one the Nose on What it could fly with.

The one thing that should be Shown to All these \"New Dawgs\" is
The A-10 was Designed so that it takes a \"Short Time to Train its Crews and the ease of maintenance, with an engine being Dropped and Re-Placed in 40mins (Without Op's Cks) due to its Primary Role to fight in Europe.

So email me your address again I think I got it, but want to Double check.

Coach If you want one too fire me off an email.

And to some of the \"Non Hogdrivers and Keepers except for the WT'ers Family

Don't even ask

Goose

If some of you our thinking I'm going to post it on line,

Forget it.Its been out of Production for 25+ years and it is really something for True Hawg-Lovers, and if it was out there it would of already been \"Posted\" on certain sites.

I'm working on the DVD's , but the editing is really sucky.

If I go from a VHS to DVDR , machine (We had one Duh??) The color is not good in places, if I get places Prefect , others Suck.

The Problem is the first 10 mins is \"A Take on Future A-10 Missions\" so they do one those Future istic \"Looking Dubbing\" .
So its Fuzzy on the DVD but its Ok on the VHS play back???

If you watch it on a CTR or Older TV it looks Fine, go to a LCD or a HD its BAD.

I might have to look into a \"Upconvert Machine\" but I don't have a HD or LCD TV , I'm still in the ICE Age, I'm watching on my 19\" LCD monitor. Video Editing Software sucks on 4 differant ones.

I haven't given up, I have too many VHS tapes to Convert including tapes from the GULF. (I found one some one sent me ) Its pretty grainy but I think fixable. Plus the Video The girls sent me in the Gulf (1 &3) Funnier than Hell, it brings back alot of memories.

So I'm working on it, it might come down to You getting a \"Driect copy on a DVD+RW disk, and you can edit it to your own \"Use\". Let me Know.

If I can help, let me know. I've got a recorder that dubs from VCR to DVD and back. If you'd like me to, I can dub them to DVD.

Dice:

I just wanted to let you know I got your DVD today. For some reason, it didn't want to play in my DVD recorder, as it kicked the DVD back saying it didn't recognize the disc.

But, not to worry. I was able to load it on my computer. VLC didn't want to play it, but the ATI DVD player software that came with my video card is handling it just fine.

It's a good looking DVD. I'm impressed with everything I've seen so far. Just watched the '78 Farnborough Air Show film. As soon as I finish this message, I'll be watching the rest of the DVD.

Mac, sorry you had trouble with the DVD maybe I had a setting wrong when I burned it, I was in a hurry. It's some good stuff on there, hope you enjoy the rest. I'll have to tell you the story behind the DVD when I have more time.

I learned a few things, which I would imagine was the goal of the DVD. I'd never known that much about the B model, and for sure had never seen film of it in action. While I've always wished they had bought and built it, a lot of what it was supposed to be able to do, was done in the A model during Desert Storm, with the technology we had at the time.

I know a lot of the newest modifications to the A-10 give it a whole lot of new capabilities, but I wonder how it affects the "hard to break, easy to fix" part of the original design?
