Okay, so in the past few months I've done my APG FTD training at Moody, and HOT at Maryland. In the past week my ANG base has had layovers and gas n go's for A-10s from Boise and Barksdale on the way to WG for the weekend and then again on their way home. I've been fortunate enough to recover, gas, and launch out four or five of these jets in sort of a TA status...but a little more indepth since I'm trying to gain experience. A couple of us who have been through training have been grabbing these away from our TA guys and doing stuff the way it's supposed to be done rather than basic TA. Sweet! Great aircrew and great jets!

Heading back to Moody in a couple weeks to do acceptance on 6 jets to take home.

Be careful, some of us TA guys have a lot of experiance on A-10's and take great pride in working them when we get a chance.

Oh, I didn't mean to make it sound like a slam on TA guys. Our TA guys have little to no A-10 experience at all. I was supposed to help if they needed it this last weekend, answer questions, but ended up on the headset and doing it all. Didn't bother me at all...I'm just soaking it all in and really digging this jet. :)

We've got a bunch in depot, and all the hangars are full of broke jets, so the ramp is deceiving.

Jack, are you in the 74th or 75th? I've been down here all week (and will be the next two) doing my annual tour....
