WTFO!?!

Been working the Hog for 2 years now and never even heard of this one...

I was launching out a Hog a couple weeks ago and while I was closing up the ladder for some reason my middle finger on my left hand got CRUSHED in between the rungs. Holy hell it hurt! And although it's getting better after being swollen to the size of a big toe and turning all kinds of shades of purple and black, it still hurts!

You guys need to warn us!

I think they changed the ladders some years back. When I worked them the telescoping part was a heavy square tube, and I'd heard of a couple of guys getting fingers pinched. I thought the round ones were supposed to be safer.

I think the round ones are safer...this was the first time I got bit by it.

I normally grab the bottom of the ladder with the palm of my hand and don't close my hand around the bottom step. For some reason I was in a hurry, plus it's a new ladder that stuck a little bit so I did wrap my fingers around it to get a little more force. When it let go I had a lot of force and then BANG and my finger was smashed between the two steps.

Finger's getting better.
