Kind of a neat story.

The other day I was doing EOR and I happened to look at some scratched paint on a door and noticed a couple names were showing that had been painted over. The name looked familiar. I have a buddy on Facebook from my days as a Phantom Phixer/Weasel Keeper on F-4Gs at George AFB, CA some 25ish years ago while we were AD USAF. I didn't really follow his career path afterwards so I asked him if he ever worked A-10s. He says yeah...he spent a little time at Osan and his jet was 243.

The jet I was looking at is now ours, and is 243. He crewed it around 2003, and was surprised his name was still on the door, although painted gray over for quite some time.

That's crazy. What's his name? I was at Osan Sep 03-04.

At the time he was SSgt Brian Fenech. I think he works at the bowling alley at Seymore Johnson as a retiree now.

We worked Phase together back in the late 80s at George AFB.
