Newbie posting. Worked on the A-10 in Madison, WI at Truax Field. Gun Shop. I found a picture of a friend and I showing the ladder door art we did for A/C 252. I wasn't able to post a picture on my first post, so I thought I'd break the ice with this. Joined the unit in 1984. Worked on the A-10 until we transitioned to the F-16. Retired Air National Guard in 2005. I really miss the A-10.

Hello thebat_8 welcome aboard! The forums are a little slow at the moment but we hope that changes in the near future. Worked at Truax, now that is back in the day.

Back a few years ago, 88 I think, our CO ANG guard unit when up there for an ORI for our 2 week summer camp. I forget the name of the base, but I recall it was within a 30 minute drive of the Dells. Beautiful country up that neck of the woods.

Ours did too , like in 87-88. I didn't get to go because I went to FT Rucker instead. 0166 was pulled off of the WI TDY and put on the FT Rucker TDY Because my Pilot need the Training time with the Helo's.
