That's OK Sniper after Forgfoot left us we can always use a pet troll here....now whos turn is it to feed him?

BTW- Trolls need responces to live so when we get tired of him we just have to stop feeding him.

What's funny about people like him is they (or their country) have no control over world events and, grinding their teeth, beating thier chest, and pointing out mistakes on forums like this is their only outlet.

OK I feed him this time but it's someone elses turn next time!

Ugly but well hung!

Well I've sat silent long enough, I'll feed him Dice. Look....

'FRIENDLY FIRE' INCIDENTS
6 April: US/Kurdish convoy attacked by US jet
3 April: US soldier killed by US ground forces
3 April: US ground forces attacked by US jet, 3 killed
28 March: UK vehicles attacked by US jet, 1 killed
25 March: UK tank fires on another British tank, 2 killed
23 March: UK jet shot down by US missile, 2 killed

From that article.........I'm a big history nut and I KNOW that our British, Australian etc friends don't want us to bring up how many incidents US troops were killed by their accidental attacks during WW2. And didn't we go over there and save the Bitish and French during that war? Seems like I heard that somewhere.

And anyone who is ignorant enough to believe that these mistakes were the result of anything malicious, obviously doesn't belong here. Mistakes happen, and I'm thinking these pilots or tank commanders that are making them will have a difficult time dealing with it. I wouldn't be suprised at all to here about one or more of them confronting the families of those who were killed to express their deepest sorrow and regret, and recieve the brunt of their anger and loss, when the conflict is over. I have said what I will, take it for what its worth.......

Wow! Out of approx. 25,000 sorties flown in Operation Iraqi Freedom, thus far, that's a rather small percentage of mistakes.... don't ya think?

BLONDEGEEK,
THE WHOLE PROBLEM IS WE GOT A POSTER HERE THAT MORE INTERESTED IN THE"CONSPIRACY OF THE US TO WIPE OUT UK TROOPS"
NEXT THING WE'LL SEE IS WHERE THE PLAN CALLED FOR THE US TO "BLUE ON BLUE" OUR OWN TO SAVE "THE COWBOYS" OUR PILOTS.

ONE IS TOO MANY,BUT ITS HAPPENED IN EVERY WAR,ITS THAT SOME PEOPLE AINT GOT NOTHING BETTER TO DO NOW THE WAR IS GOING BETTER THAN EXPECTED,AND LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO HARP ON!

AFTER THE WAR,THE COMMITTES WILL FORM,THE REPORTS WILL BE MADE AND THE BOARD WILL DECIDIE WHAT IS WHAT.

AND NO MATTER WHAT THE OUT COME,THERE IS PILOTS,CONTROLLERS AND THE OTHERS INVOLED WHO CANT SLEEP AT NIGHT BLAMING THEIR SELF

AND I KNOW FROM WORKING WITH SOME OF THE CENTCOM MEMBERS,WHEN THEY WERE ALOT LOWER IN RANK,THEY'LL SEEK AND DEMAND THE TRUTH AND NOT HIDE OR LOOSE STUFF.

SO THATS MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT!!!

The one thing that doesn't lie is the data. Let's do a little plug a chug, real quick. From what is posted here, there are 4 confirmed coalition fatalities due to US airpower, and I will guess large and say maybe 10 more in this recent incident. That leaves us with 14, out of aprox. 25,000 sorties. Now, allow me to pull up the calculator real quick. That is a .056% error rate.

Now, you can't really count deaths versus sorties, so we look at the number of incidents, that is 3 divided by 25,000....hmmm...a .012% chance of a friendly fire incident from US airpower....those look like damn good odds to me. But hey, look at Dr. John Lott's statistics and you will see that European media tends to ignore the numbers. <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

Recently a truck carrying US Special Operations Forces and Peshmerga Kurdish fighters was hit by a USAF airstrike... 18 killed, 48 wounded.... Fog of War... it happens, we expected it... I agree, relatively small percentage of mistakes... cheers.
