In the gun itself or in the whole system?

or the moving parts that matter.... namely the cannon shell.

1. Don't look conspicuous; it draws fire.
2. Never draw fire; it irritates everyone around you.

Strictly speaking just in the gun and not the conveyor system you have all seven barrels, seven gun bolts (one for each barrel) the forward rotor, aft rotor and the locking ring on the foward gun mount. Also the muzzle clamp. All of these parts spin when the gun is fired. This is over simplified answer to a complicated question. The GAU-8/A has a multitude of moving parts, take it from someone who worked on everyone one of them for years.
