hey I wonder if any of you guys who fly the hog have played 'a-10 cuba' or 'USAF'. Cause i want to know whether either of them are acurate. There both pretty similar but one difference is that 'A-10 cuba' simulates the a-10 as almost 'underpowered' and 'USAF' deffenetly simulates the a-10 as overpowered. Any justification? thanks IvantheGreat |

i played a demo of a-10 cuba and USAF a long time ago...i'm not a pilot myself, but i read real manuals. I think a-10 cuba was somewhat ok... USAF was more arcade though. The a-10 has a radar and it's clearly overpowered. Most of the cockpit functions are not there or not realistic. I personally prefer falcon4. The new 'Superpack3' mod is amazing, and it allows you to fly the hog with a free-ware pit (i recommend 'aeyes'). It doesnt do a great job modeling the a-10 flight-model or it's functions, but it comes closest to the flight experience. It's still more of a F-16 sim, but a great one at that, i read some of the F-16C Blck 50/52 manuals to get it right, alone the engine start-up takes about 7 minutes (even longer to calibrate the INS and manually store VIP/OA/VRP-Points). So i don't think there is any real realistic sim out there for the a-10. But LOMAC and Falcon OIR (if it finally overcomes the problems) are in the works and look promising... By the way do hog-drivers use VIP/OA/VRP, too? Would make sense, but i wouldn't know on what 'computer' to store them ![]() |

Startup sequence is not accurate nor are 90% of what SP3 models. |
