Ok, I work in an office in Pearl River, La, just on the outskirts of the honey island swamp, and about once a week, at least a pair of warthogs fly over my office always heading northeast. I was hoping maybe someone around this area could possibly tell me where these awesome birds might be going and from where they might be coming. Just curious. Thanks

Or they could be from Barksdale AFB in Shreveport LA. I'm not sure where the Honey Island Swamp is.

Yep, those A-10s are most likely flying out of Belle Chasse NAS (Combined Forces) over on the west bank of the Mississippi River. I'm in Metairie, and also see them flying north-east over Lake Pontchartrain, heading right your way. As for where they're going, Camp Shelby up near Hattiesburg, Mississippi is to the north-east. I know that people have complained about heavy armor tearing up part of the nearby DeSoto National Forest. There might be a gunnery range up there that the A-10s utilize.

Oh yeah.. I forgot there is a gun range at camp Shelby along with the howitzer range and all. In fact, there was a time I was camping at Paul B Johnson state park which is about 5 miles from camp Shelby and I saw a hog fly overhead, and I swear it was so low.. about maybe 100 feet from the tree line. Man, that was the closest look I've ever seen one of those things in the air.
