Hi, never thought I'd see a forum devoted to A-10s. Freakin' crazy. Anyway, I'm a 2W1 at Spangdahlem right now, work in the backshop, to tell a little bit.

This thread ahs another purpose. I'm looking for pictures, movies, etc. of strafing and bombing runs, general weapons releases, cool stuff like that. Anyone know a good place to get them?

Hehe thanks Sniper! First go to the main page of this site ( www.a-10.org ) and look under the A-10 related files for some good clips. Second, here's a 12 MB music video I did to the tune of KISS God Of Thunder ( www.warthogpen.com/bs/thunder.wmv ) . Thrid I do have an A-10 DVD full of historic A-10 footage but I don't have it up for sale to the general public yet but, seeing how you are military and work the Hog shoot me a email at the below addy and I will see about selling you one now...if you want one.

Actually I think when the A10 Came into service the plane was issued to dice, not the other way around. It is always interesting talking with dice over a few suds. I thought it was tough to follow the Southern Dialect. Of course i could grasp the specifics of the conversation better once dice pulled his false teeth out of the Fizz Cup.

I don't have it up but will upload it later today and post the URL here, check back in a couple of hours. BTW I mailed your DVD today but have no idea how long it will take to get to you. I mailed one to the AOR a couple of weeks ago and it hasn't arrived yet...but it's on the way.

I just hooked up my new computer, a 2.6GB with my ADSL it is a real speed demon. I am interested in seeing how fast I can download a large file.

Thanks M2! I'm still haveing server problems and will not be able to upload the video until I return from my TDY. It may be time to move the Hog pen over to Pete's server, where I know what's going on!

M2, the video is back up it may be slow down-loading because my server is still having problems. It almost 12 meg and it KISS's God Of Thunder..

Thanks for the cranium's up, I am in the process of downloading it as we speak and right now it looks like it will take a little over 3 hours to do so. I am running a 2.8GB Pentium 4 across a 3.3 Mpbs ADSL, so it ain't on this end. Right now am pulling 273 bytes/sec.

Oh well, I will see what it looks like in the morning!

That would be nice! Bandwidth is the main reason I don't have video clips and other stuff that takes a lot of it on my site...heck I just upgraded from a free service (with pop-ups) about a year ago!

You do what you can with what you can afford, maybe next year I can get a better server with a FTP system.

What Ya'll may not know is Dice was never north of the Mason Dixon till he was ordered to by the Air Force.

And that reminds me of another little tid bit.....
Seems his Daddy had 15 minutes of fame one time.....
Had something to with his cookin'...or what he was cookin'

Dice, It got here about a week ago. Just before your trip to the River Walk. The phones/e-mail have been giving us problems.

It's a great DVD! All the Crew Chiefs watched it the day we got it.
That and I haven't been on the board a whole lot. Been perfecting my crazy launch. We're gonna tape all of the best ones. This should prove how bored we are sometimes!

No sweat, man, I do love your site and someone needs to host it for you. I wish I had a server to do so but I lack that technical sophistication! The download is still on-going, I started at 1900 last night and now at 0500 it is 80% done. Dang! I am off to the Netherlands for the day (AFNORTH, the NATO op HQ for ISAF) so I will watch it when I get home tonight (I hope!)
