Hi

Just wondering whats the best method for dealling with Sams or AAA in the Hog?

In Lomac i don't have Labels on as in real life.
And if there is something scanning me i will get the Radar Warning.
But i might come across a bunch of Vehicles and have maybe a few seconds to judge which is the culprit.

So whats the best method of identifying the Radar equipped Vehicle?

Also is the A-10 capable of Carrying HARM Missiles?

Thanx in advance.

A B-61 is a tactical thermonuclear bomb.

I see!!

Well that would solve the Problem.
Not too sure if my follow up Ground Troops would be too keen on occupying whats left of the ground. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

The 30mm gun of the A-10 can easily outrange a ZSU, but the problem is target ID.

I would imagine the best munition to use would be a Maverick missile.

The A-10 does not carry HARM.

you talkin about HARM? HARM is REAL close to useless these days, the (now cancelled) GPS upgrade was to help keep a fired HARM "in the same country we shot it in" !!

Its definatly the Mav that kills much of the SA site the A-10 encounters. The Mav has a slightly longer effective range than say an SA-7 site so the pilot can "Stiff Arm" the site and kill it with out exposing himself to fire.

Tiny Giant and i discussed this openly over at Biohazcentral on how to best deal with Surface Threats on the "Tactical mindset" level.

http://forum.biohazcentral.com/index.php?showtopic=3285

This would be a good read and forum for those that are doing the LOMAC sim to intereact with each other on these topics.

the key thing to understand is that the "game Software" doesnt have the advanced jamming and Targeting logic that is apparent in real life. or advanced Avionics and weapons functions. You have to treat them as their own unique airframe with strength and weakness's and exploit them to your advantage.

This is the best avenue to participate in in understanding the whys and hows a Tactical aviator does his buisness.

The stuff that works for real world Fighter pilots and those tactics are "Time limited" the only thing constant in warfighting is Change in an easily perishable warfighting knowledge and abilities. of the tactical aviator.

I hope you guys enjoy that thread, and feel free to participate over there.

Hrmmm, bunraku is Japanese for "puppet play"...

Any motivation behind the moniker?
