Ugly But Well Hung

Dice I need to throw you some info on two of those doors. I am not sure if Mr Logan didnt know which doors they are or were in this case. In the middle of the page is a door with "Death from Above" on it. This door was on 78-614 at Barnes back around the time of Deny Flight in the 95 through 96 timeframe. It was a great door but met an unfortunate end. We had a rather mailicious crew chief at the time with a grudge against the crew chief that had the door. While performing a wash he decided to take the steam jenny to the door and blasted off the art. If I remember correctly there were some people that tried to get his job for it. The door was never re painted untill slightly over a year ago when Michael Dooney painted it with Haleys Comet.

Then the door from 78-644 is now gone also. It is the door with the World Series Trophy on it. This is our Red Sox nation tribute jet.

The door got so badly delamintaed that we had to get another door, I am not sure if or when it will be replaced.

Thanks for the info Hawg166! That's one harsh story on "Death from above" and one I haven't encounted yet..destorying someones door art because you don't like them... that's just wrong!! <img src=newicons/anim_cussing.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thanks for the sneak preview. Doorarts, it looks every painter will try to be better and get originality than the other. Let the competition begin!! Is there allready a compitition between the painters?

I like the " TOP HOG " one ine the Don Logan collection. I know its up here at Barksdale. Dice, do you have a tailcode for it?
