It was a Tank Killer, But is the \"Fuel problem fixed\" , but then again they might need training in Defueling and Depuddling the tanks.
Nothing like doing that 3 times in a row, in the rain.

Bro, you remember just way to much shit. But I wish I could tell you how the engineers reacted when they read your email a couple years ago about the stuff you did to 166's wing in ODS after the tank lugs broke twenty years prior. They were dumbfounded. Then they grounded my bird until they authorized a one time flight to depot to fix the wing. Sure as shit, they got that thing apart and you had it pegged twenty years later. It was priceless. I wish you could have heard them.

Billy,

That's what those \"Little Memo Books\" you carry are for. I always had to keep notes, Part#, Serial#, etc..... I still have 5 of those little \"Memo books\"
from 0166 & 4476 before her

Then I also used them at Armour's too to remember how to set-up certain processes and how each dryer's cycle ran a little different. then soaking in sterile filters , solution mixtures, etc...., Then again Serial numbers, control numbers , batch numbers, etc.. of everything I worked on or filled.

My Dad always did it too, try reading his though, he really couldn't read until I was in High School, but he would have drawings in them on how certain machines ran and part numbers etc... when he had to fix'em .

I have to write everything down now today Billy or I forget, or use my recorder to leave notes. Those little \"Bastards\" in my head are having a party I guess , but hey the brain is pretty cool , I can do math in my head now, never could before.

But no , those memo books are my memory for most everything , like it took 7 rivets to hold the WW Bottles in after the \"ABDR\" that you had to \"Repair\" (I know I'm a Bastard for that too\") to put the 79 bottles in a 80 jet.

80-0188 was the first time I saw the \"Fuel Tank\" of an A-10. Well the main tank.
All those \"Chunks of Foam\" coming out that little damn hole, then having to pull it out which wasn't hard, but having to pull out and put back in \"Basically a Olympic size Rubber pool\" in that hole without tearing it and having it come out right , in the South CA. Sun in August was \"Bloody Ass Hell\" just to find out the fuel cell guy used a screw driver to try and pry it into place and rip the neck .

They had to do it all over again, But Fuel Cell had to do it all by them selfs that time.
But It was something that everyone should know how to do though.

Hey if it wasn't for that \"ABDR BS FIX\" She wouldn't of been one of the first A-10 's downtown the next day,
Taking out AAA sites for those \"Lawndarts\" but then she wouldn't of gotten the hole in her engine cowl either from taking some falk.

She is a Good Old Girl, I'd like to still see a picture too of her in this \"188th\" paint .

All I know is she better not be a Bloody Canx Bird

I'll look through my shots and see if I have one. If I do I'll post it on here.
