Some questions I've been asking lately about door art...an answer I'm wondering about...

ACC has to okay all door art?

Is this the \"official\" answer...or is it that big of a deal?

I'm not so sure ACC said that Japanese Anime' was okay/PC/tame.

Weasel, each command had it own instruction governing door (nose) art and each command handles the subject differently. ACC bans art in any form on the A-10 or any other fighter/attack type aircraft. This rule can, and is, ignored sometime in ACC (depending on the commander) until a higher headquarters inspection rolls around and then it can becomes an issue.

As far as the art found on PACAF aircarft like the one above, much like during WWII the further away a unit is from it's command headquarters (and the fact it's overseas) the more the rules can be bent. Aircraft in both PACAF and USAFE have door art.

Is it a big deal....depends on the commanders of both the unit and the command they fall under.

\"Thunder Kiss\" was my favorite door at Osan. I really liked it, especially over the Dragon themed doors because there are so many of them that they are hardly unique.
The DCC for Thunder Kiss when we were in Korea just finished cross-training last week.
