Well, that sure wasn't on 959 when I was at Osan. I know I sent you a picture of what was on it when I was there. It was the the girl standing wearing next to nothing, on a dirt mound holding like a sword or something. The art the DCC on 187 used to get his done was based 99% on a picture that is exactly reproduced on 959's door now. I believe I also e-mail you a picture of the original clip art. Do you know who is assigned to 959 now? I assume Vanloo and Kilgore are the CC's and Sniper is the pilot. I don't knwo any of those names, but Vanloo sounds familiar. I will defintely show this to 187's DCC tommorow at work, but I bet this will be a surprise to him.

Jack, yes you sent me a photo of 959's door but a couple at Osan have changed...including this one. Yes I do have the net image used to do both doors but I didn't know if the CC of 187 was awaire of this door being done or not. No I don't know who the CC of 959 is.

Gimmie a couple days and I'll have your answer about the CC on 959.

Thanks Weasel, it's no big deal to me (both doors are nice for different reasons) but, I've never seen two doors painted almost the same, at the same time-frame, on two different bases??

This was news to 187's DCC. We are both interested in hearing what you find out about it though.
Also, has 685's door been re-done? If so, could you post a picture if you have one? I'd be interested in seeign ym old jet again.

I'll let you know what, if anything, I find out. I don't have a picture of 658's new door unless it's one of the two which Don sent that doesn't have a tail number with it. I'll also let you know if your aircraft has a new door and if I can get a pic of it.

Found the DCC and ACC. I'll be E-mailing them tonight. I hears they painted over quite a few good ones. I don't know why, it's just what I was told.

Ok, the new DCC is pulling a "Schultz" and knows nothing!

I'll have him ask his ACC since he is still there. Any way the old DCC is the new one on 187?

Alright, cleared up the issue. The former DCC came from Eileson (sp) to Osan. That should explain the "ripoff". I've been told he is at DM now so anyone going to Hogsmoke could look him up and ask him about it.

Thanks for the info Weasel, I think it's pretty obvious what happen, he like the theme and design so used it when he gor to Osan.
I think this is the first time I've seen the "same" design used on two jets, at two different bases, at the same time.

So, is it wrong for a crew chief (or a pilot) to take a door art theme from base to base when he/she PCS's?

Hell, I've planned since day one that if my ladder door get damaged, replaced, painted over...whatever, that the next one would be an Ice Age 2 theme.

I have never had a problem with someone "taking a design with them" if it's their's, this thread started because I was wondering if the design was the pilot/CC of 959 or "borrowed" from 187 pilot/CC.
