Thanks Goose and Hawg166, I'm writing about your door(s) now and want to get the facts straght...that leads me to a few more questions/commets.

If there is any other info you would like included in my book (or website if it doesn't get published) please send it to me. You know stuff like pilots/ACC/ names, who pained the door, stuff like that. Also can you guys send me you complete names, or how you would like to see them in your book, so I'm sure I get the spelling right?

Goose I know you have told me this before but, my data is as scattered as my brain is. How did you get the "handel" of Goose?

Dice, I'm not familiar with the door so I don't know the context in which it was used but the quote is from a Good Friday prayer and means \"darkness over the earth\" or \"dark was the earth with clouds\", depending on whose mass you attend.

Your correct Chief but your a couple hundred years late. The original was the phrase (latin) in the New Testament describing the moment of Christs crucifiction when \"darkness has covered the face of the Earth\" The text was just an interm posting untill I had the down time to actually get the door finished. I just thought that given the period of time, our newly found Litening II pod work coupled with the NVG work we did at night, made it a fitting phrase. In retrospect, I really think I should have had that painted on Snoopy's dog house as though it was his nose art. But i didnt and I hope that the door continues to fly at Fort Smith. By the way I am thinking and praying about becoming an A-10 guy again. I may apply for a Crew Chief position in Fort Smith when they get their new manning document in April.
