Jackb, I saw 80-0272 yesterday getting ready to go home to Moody and it still had the door art on it…. This is an old picture BTW. ![]() If you don’t know it, as far as I can tell, this is the oldest A-10 door art remaining on an active aircraft and maybe the oldest one period, unless there is an older one hiding behind spraylat at AMARC . It was painted on a jet from Myrtle Beach SC at least as far back as 1990. I emailed all the info (and pictures to back-up my story) to Moody’s PA office a month or so ago but never got a response. I know this is a small thing in the great scheme of things but, it’s also a thing which can be saved with so little effort. I guess we’ll see but I’m guessing it will go the way of “Running With The Devil” and “Camel Jockey” unless the info I sent to the PA office gets into the right hands so they at least know what they have. O’well I’ve done all I can do. |

All the Eielson jets here still have there art. I'm keeping my mouth shut in order to not bring them to the attention of the wrong person. 272's DCC from Eielson is in phase here. |
