A mix among watching Zombieland, goof talking about zombies and my AR-15 with my friends, and realizing a heck of a lot of A-10s were \"brought back from the dead\" from the boneyard (deep thinking with so much time off...and a few rum n cokes).

I'm contemplating doing a \"Zombie Hawg\" door when I get mine from Osan. 80-0217 was retired to the boneyard and brought back (Moody Demo East and Osan)...and will be upgraded to a \"C\" to be among the living jets for another 20 years or so. ;)

Thoughts...suggestions? :)

Interesting idea and if my memory serves I haven't seen that theme, which is a big plus IMHO. A zombie is the walking dead which I can easily see with the A-10...would be very interested in seeing how you pull it off.

Actually yes...maybe. A buddy of mine at work said he told a tatoo artist (I think) about this idea and that guy wants to try a couple ideas to show me. I haven't seen anything yet, but hoping he has some good ideas.

The \"Zombie Hawg\" concept seems to be holding true though. My jet (80-0217) last I heard STILL hasn't made it across the big pond from Osan and might still be broken or waiting for one of two other jets to get fixed at Hickam since they can't continue on alone. My jet was supposed to originally be at my base in Indiana by now...already been through PE at Hill...but it hasn't even arrived CONUS yet. ;) I think it's the last jet that will arrive here now so I still have plenty of time as it drags it's feet in a zombie shuffle.

Sounds cool and I'm looking forward to see what you come out with. Any other art in your unit I don't have?

We haven't added any door art yet, still in the learning and busting our butt while learning stages to find the time just yet. The only doors we have are what was on the WG jets; \"One Two Punch\" and the Liberty Bell/Eagle one...off the top of my head.

There are some Osan jets still at Hill that I saw some door art but I only saw them briefly while we swapped drop tanks last month.

I'll definately get pics when we start doing some!

This was always one of my favorites. I was told the story, if I remember correctly one of the CC's dad or grandpa flew P-47s in WWII. Glad to see it's still there..for now!

Yeah, that's the one Waltz...I was actually looking at it just the other day after we recovered it.

Thanks I know you'll keep an eye out for me. Also on the above door it was the CCs grandpa who flew P-47s in WWII.
