I asked for this new section so we can talk nose and door art without clogging’ the Hog Chat area. I’m in the process of writing a book on door art specify but, it will also contain some A-10 art in general like nose and “other” art like Barksdale’s Little Abner cartoons. As I go through my art collection I’ve found pictures I don’t know where they came from, and ones that have been sent to me over the year but I’ve lost track of who sent them and if they’re copyrighted or not. If I can’t find the owner of the pics and get permission then of course I can’t use the image in my book. I also wanted area where people can post what they know about an Image off my website be it the pilot/crew chief or just someone who knows about the art. Without more info only the image and what I can see in the image will make it into my book. I was busy all day today but will start with my questions tomorrow. Here’s a new door I received from “Chuck” in NY (aircraft is at the Warplane museum) which I know little about. I do know it’s off aircraft 75-0293 which was stationed at DM for it’s entire career and the image is a nice drawing of the 358’s LOBO but, I have no idea what the “Hard Luck Lady” refers to. <img src="http://www.warthogpen.com/book_files/book1.JPG" border=0> Ugly But Well Hung |
