What aircraft was it with the door art you guys told me I needed to get and what was the image of? I can find the jet anywhere and it may have left before I got a chance to photograph it, or It could also be in paint/blast with the door sealed. I remember it was something like the Molly Hatchet album cover with a warrior on a warthog????

Dice,
I believe it was a Battle Creek jet, it was in the F-16 CCIP overflow hangar where the block 50 Mountain Home jets were kept. JMF442nd can tell you what the picture was, I believe it was a warlock from a video game.

Thanks for the info, I'll keep an eye-out for it but, I fear it may have slipped through my hands. <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm sure you mean 80-269. It was there a few weeks ago for the WS-90 inspection. I'll take my digi cam to work today and see if i can capture everything we currently have.
It's snowing like a #$@% today so I'm thinking weather cancel on a few lines?

O.K. I took pics of about 5 different jets including the one in question! I saved them on the computer at work so I'll email them to you tomorrow! They look pretty good when you zoom in just a little.
I was hoping to get more pics before some of our "Classic" art was gone but found out i was too late on a couple.

Thanks for the pics Hogfixer2001, it’s guys like you who really help in my effort to document this art-form! Ask around and see if any of the Crew Dawgs would like to give me the story behind their door? They are pretty straight-forward but I still like to hear how they came up with the idea and what, if anything, the art means to them.

I’ll post pictures for the rest of you when I get home tonight.

Dice let me know if there is anything from CT that you dont have. Next weeek I have to go the air museum over at Bradley. I can call Col Miklon and make a time I can go and get some high res shots for you.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson

Damn you guys are great!! I have pictures of most of the CT jets (if they haven't changed) but could use high rez shots of any and all you can get. Some of the shots I have are old 35mm so are not that great. Col. Michlom (S?) is no longer commander and has moved to the EMS side of the house. I'm still in contact with him and can get you the new commanders name (can't remember off the top of my head) and maybe smooth the way to allow you to take shots of the all the jets... if you not mind, I will email him tomorrow.

As I said you guys are great and the work we are doing today (documenting the art work) will pay off tomorrow. In fact I recived an email today from a guy (Bob Coulter brother-in-law) who is sending me pics of his old ladder door when he work in the "Demon" squadron at "the beach" during the late 80s. He made the statment that my (our) door art colection brought back a lot of memories for him and that's what it's all about guys!!
