You figure the Pointy Heads found out that the Iranians have F-14's too?

I'm sorry, Billy you better get out your \"CATNIP\" because I would worry about them having Operational F-14's going against our \"Bug's\"

They even the other day showed pretty recent video of a war game with 2 F-14's hitting targets so if theirs 2 their more.

You mean they finally got enough parts together to make 2 flyable Tomcats? After all these years?

Last I knew they had flown only minimally if at all due to parts limitations, and of course their lack of mechanical knowledge of the aircraft.

I still have to laugh when I say mechanical knowledge of the acft.......remembering the last bird I crewed was a Mig 21!
Even without books we could read....LOL....we still had the old girls flying and Kicking Ass everyday of the week!

UnTrue.

I interviewed and supervised a defected Iranian pilot in the Mid 90's. the Iranian Military complex is completely robust and self sufficient. Their F14's are Airworthy, and the Iranians have remanufactured, Retrofitted and modified their aircraft to utilise parts that are not unique to the platform. The Hawk Missile Systems we sold to them or they had captured through the Iran Iraq War have been Converted to be used as AAM's While their airworthy fleet is estimated to be around 7 Aircraft (5 in Use).

The point being, 5 F14's are no Match to our complex web of airsuperiority. If and when we chose to begin a Air Campaign against Iran. Their is very little hope for them to deploy any aviation asset.

By the way, The F-22 is holding a 267-2 Win ratio against our own F15, F16, F18 Wargame held last month in Alaska.

The Air campaign will have some challenges but will not be difficult. It will be the Land campaign that will be very interesting.

I was refering to the F-14s being attacked by stand-off weapons long before they had a chance to get airborne.
